Craft Is Art

Well, it’s not perfect especially since the last note to this could have been more easily read with larger text, but here it is, my personal viewpoint to share along with some old pics of my weavings. It was quite an adventure yesterday searching for photos of things I created in the past where they were scattered among storage sites and digital albums. I did a lot of hard copy print outs to go in the two of my giant stack of poems. I have a new printer an Epson eco-tank to be exact which amazes me now since otherwise I would have been shopping for ink many times over with my cheaper printers. $$$ 😂

Photo from my mid fifties and weaves with beads etc hobby pics close up
I like to add as much variety in textures as possible along with beads and such. Also, I find it more fun when I have a theme, person or place in mind.

Dust

Dust

My weavings of travel memories

are slowly gathering Time’s dust.

My memories grow distant and begin to fade

into adventure dreams, misty and vague

but for my photos and weavings I made.

Do I toss or wash or ignore the dust?

How can I toss or wash such things?

Shall I blow their dust back into the air,

perhaps even breathe it back into me

or shall I simply let them be?

I’ll do nothing. At least they won’t rust.
