More Messy Art

An unplanned acrylic painting, I was surprised by what showed up beneath what seem to be trees.
This one formed into a strange kind of woodland with other-worldly hints like sculptures. I added a new carved design using black acrylics that seemed to suit what showed up in this painting. Now my paints are put away for another time and another style experiment. I realized that I get more joy from my weaving so I’ll be into the yarn bins and bead boxes next. Painting is fun but weaving is joy for me.

Digital Art From Photos

Digital art from old photos is a fun hobby.
I always loved arranging flowers in elegant vases.
Creating large arrangements as big statements were my fav. The cost of product and labour has greatly increased since those days in a little flower shop.
Orange lilies were my Dad’s favourite flowers, he once told me as an adult. Until then, I didn’t know that he liked flowers let alone orange lilies.
This was a fun twirl of dancing flowers I created back in the day of an old software program I bought at no small expense. I have no qualms about computer and especially ai art as long as sites leave space for human artists too. Just my opinion.

Dawn Sky and More

Looking out the window this morning…
Moonlight on glass creates a ghostly glare
The ice crystals refract prismatic colours over a spot on the frozen lake. I’ve never seen this effect in winter before.
My camera isn’t picking up the fuller spectrum of light I see with my eyes.
There’s smoke from the chimney now but the light on the lake remains.
The light on the lake slowly moves southward though the prismatic effect is still here in this photo. I am fascinated.
Eventually, I turn to look inside my son’s house, and then chuckle because I painted this in my early 20’s before I had children, and then trashed this painting only to find it years later on my son’s wall. There’s a glare on the glass.
