Walking On Faith

(Through Ancient Eyes-  my digital music composition)

Walking On Faith

Moving forward
through shadows of uncertainty
cast by hungry human fears
that hunt and prey,
I pray
with loving trust
and growing gratitude.

Walking awareness
of Life’s great Spirit
ever present,
everywhere present,
beautiful and true
unconditional Love,
lights up
the grounding path
beneath my feet.

Moving forward,
step by step,
calmly creating
my story, my life,
and my reality,
my frequency rises,
energies shift
in evolutionary jumps
as my winged joy
greets Change.

Who?

(Close Your Eyes and Ride the Stream-  my digital music composition)

Who?
I look in the telling mirror and say,
“Who is this person looking back at me?
Who is this, with an old and wrinkled face,
this scarred and aged body I now see?”
Not long ago, I cried with needs, my baby tears.
Not long ago, my heart-mind danced in childhood’s laughter.
My youth felt endless, desires were clear and bright.
The fat and lean years of speeding pace
recorded on skin of aging bodies I have worn,
(every few years completely transformed),
now rest in selective memory as I stand here.
I recall other lifetimes, other bodies as well.
Not long ago, I cried another baby’s tears.
Not long ago, I had another child’s laugh.
Not long ago, my youth felt endless.
We are all ever-new versions of ourselves,
still recognized but never as years before
in the magical illusions of Time and Space.
We live in ever-changing human bodies, one with all
in Life’s Spirit and Essence, remembered or not.
We co-create our forms, day by day,
feeding our triune being, nurtured here or not.
We exercise our bodies, our minds, our souls,
announcing who we are in all we say and do,
declaring our Now-Self, welcomed or not.
This here, this Earth, this human race
shall someday change, shall pass away,
yet we shall live, our eternal souls
shall choose new forms in which to live (or not).
Then perhaps, I shall look in a mirror and say,
“Who is this being looking back at me?”
as God’s Light twinkles in my knowing eyes.

Vancouver Island View

(Writing Poetry-  my digital music composition)

By far the fairest in the land,

snow-white Mount Baker floats-

a towering, ethereal castle cloud-

over distant curves and layers

of hazy, blue-gray horizons.

Romancing midsummer sunlight,

a breeze ripples water with delight

as spell-bound white sailboats

move dreamily in a slow dance

beyond the rocky, sea-grass beach.

I press magic buttons and

our side-windows yawn.

I turn my magic key.

The car engine quiets.

Conversation stops.

Fairy-dust in the breeze invites

silent reverie and dreams.

Eyes close, guards down, we rest-

two sleeping beauties-

on the Isle’s enchanting shore.

Tears on a Rose

(Gender Justice Rebirthed-  my digital music composition)

Inspired to say

what’s clear and true,

may you see now

what I see too.

Your fear enslaves me.

Your fear denies me

Basic Human Rights.

God values me

no less than you.

Your love frees me.

Your love

ensures me

Basic Human Rights.

God blesses me

no less than you.

The truth is

The truth is

we’re all

connected

we’re all

ONE

We are Spirit.

We are Energy beings.

We are Divine Creations

of our Creator,

Life Itself,

experiencing Itself,

re-cycling, re-birthing,

re-newing, re-balancing,

re-evolving Itself in constant

Re-Creation.

…God is…Life…

(The oppression, repression, and supression of Women

by any Culture, any Religion, or any Political System under

the pretext of `protection, or `security`is clearly seen by

intelligent Humans as a blatantly unholy, denigrating prejudice, and

unjust discrimination by fearful Men and fearfully compliant

Women in any century, including our own. It is simply a Freedom

denying Power and Control issue that any highly evolved and highly

intelligent Civilization would not create.Where there is a will there is a way.)

Changing Canadian Society

As a child

my world was coloured

by a neighbourly ‘our’.

We left our doors unlocked.

We stood at the fence

and spoke full sentences.

We laughed and joked

with local slang.

I learned to savour

language…

and slowly sip

the beauty of words.

As a youth

my world was colored

by a consuming, wasteful

‘me’ and ‘my’.

We lost our ‘u’

and became

dancing skeletons.

We locked our doors.

Neighbors became

a fast, polite ‘hi’

There were a lot of ‘highs’

in those days.

There were a lot of ‘lows’

in those days too.

We lost trust

in all authority.

We mouthed the words

‘Love’ and ‘Peace’

but grew

suspicious.

As an adult

my world is computer-colored

and abbreviated

in the digital instant.

Here I’m just

another ‘u’

ignoring the sunsets

for endless sites

in cyberspace.

My life is

screened.

My city door

is double-locked.

Neighbors rarely greet

or respond.

Their words

sound hollow

and remote.

In the halls, in the streets,

and at work,

all the cameras,

cards, and computers

record our lives…

How long will they

remember us?

I ponder, amused.

The patient ‘u’ is gone.

Frustrated fingers

begin to tap

for five second receipts.

Full sentences

get tuned out

and go unheard.

There is a frenzy

of finger-clicking

and fast-flapping tongues

everywhere now.

Poetry has become

a dozen words

scrambled

and served

to any meaning.

How will the Robots

digest this?

I silently wonder.
