One Plant and Two Poems

My Rex Begonia plant is now reigning on my bedroom shelf. The lighting is dull because it’s a dull day but I like the softened look of this wonderful houseplant. I also have two poems to share, a new one I wrote today and an old one I came across browsing through one of my storage sites.

I am always fascinated by the beauty and diversity of plant life. This Begonia is no exception. It reminds me of a satin quilt from another era.
