Two More

These are the last two reversible dining scarves I designed from scraps of material I bought recently. They’re so simple that I didn’t even need to create a pattern first. Just fun cut and sew projects. I’ve decided these are Christmas gifts from me to me so I’ll have to act surprised when I unwrap them. 😂🤣

Dining Scarves

I designed these 4 reversible dining scarves from scraps of this beautiful material that I found packaged for sale in little freezer bags recently. There was no plan as to what to do with them at the time. It came to me to make dining scarves with these pieces of material that had called to me from the store shelf. Both my children had lives as samurai. With no pattern, I just cut then machine and hand sewed them into ‘diy’ Christmas gifts. One of the precious gifts my parents and grandparents gave me growing up was Resourcefulness. I’ve used that gift repeatedly throughout my life and it has served me well.

Now I only hope they dare to wear them at their dining tables. lol! 🤣😂💕

Lavender Hearts

The scent of lavender dances through the air as I hand sew these sachet bags for Christmas gifts. Having picked and dried the lavender myself, it is a very satisfying feeling to be spending quiet time making these small gifts. Aromatherapy! Simple hobbies like this can be therapeutic and soothe the vibes in the atmosphere in these days of covid 19 plus all that is rising to the surface everywhere to be healed. As I said to a friend recently ‘Get a Hobby!’ 🥰
