By the lake this morning… a gloomy viewCheery lights inside… my son and I decorated his house for the holidays. Even simple decorations somehow become magical in the glow of colourful lights. The tree and star change slowly… as a child I would have been fascinated by this ‘magical’ transformation. Even as an adult, the coloured light is mesmerizing…My son, Aaron, was gifted a great Christmas stocking. Many of the ornaments on the tree were handmade over time by my daughter, Alissa. From a greenish glow to white…From white to coloured light… I turn off the other lights and just watch the cheery ‘show’…
This is another painting I did a while back. My previous photos of it didn’t show the intensity of the colours. Even now, I had to edit the lighting on my cell phone camera to get it right at last. The changing light of the day also changes the colours and their effects. I can see why the great painters and other artists become so fascinated by the impact of lighting. I’m still learning and having fun with it as my hobby, like my poetry.
I had fun finding backgrounds for this poem posted but find the plain text easier to read and it has a little editing which I usually don’t take time to do until several days, weeks, months or years later. Nothing written in stone in this lifetime. 😁
