Quiet Art 1

Acrylics on canvas and paper on canvas abstract. I call it my ‘Quiet Art’. So, I finally stopped procrastinating and started playing with my art supplies again. The winter light through the window and the artificial light dull down the colours so I did some photo editing. You might say that the colours are ‘almost true’. 😂

Winter Sun

I got down on my knees to capture the early morning sunlight of the Sunrise through a wee bit of frost on a window, still clad in pjs and slippers. The things we do for Beauty! The camera filtered the light through that ‘abstract art’ frost in a few fast captures. Later yesterday, I caught the setting sun as we drove Highway 11 between Temiskaming Shores and Englehart. These Sunset photos would have been better if we had stopped, but I managed to capture this transition of light while moving at highway speed from the passenger side of the car. If I were a professional photographer, I’d have a better than cellphone camera and a tripod and such to capture the fleeting moments. Still, I am thankful for this technology too. I do not take anything for granted.

Craft Is Art

Well, it’s not perfect especially since the last note to this could have been more easily read with larger text, but here it is, my personal viewpoint to share along with some old pics of my weavings. It was quite an adventure yesterday searching for photos of things I created in the past where they were scattered among storage sites and digital albums. I did a lot of hard copy print outs to go in the two of my giant stack of poems. I have a new printer an Epson eco-tank to be exact which amazes me now since otherwise I would have been shopping for ink many times over with my cheaper printers. $$$ 😂
