Snow Blanket
It’s snowing now, tonight,
snow silently falling down,
making a white snow blanket
to cover the frozen ground.
Out of the dark, snow comes
sparkling in the street light.
This quiet, wintry storm
is beautiful to my sight,
though I’m thankful to be warm
inside the house tonight
watching snow slowly form
that blanket, cold and white.

Several posts with photos of snow and recent Spring snowstorms had me digging through my papers when I came across this old poem I wrote years ago.
