Tara and Her Bear

Tara and Her Bear
Teddy Bear asked Tara to dance with him.
They waltzed through whisphering watercolour days
and dined in enchanted moonlit gardens
savouring sweet hugs of honeyed love.
She’d opened her heart to him
and in return he gifted her
with childhood’s rare and precious wealth—
the beauty and innocence of sunlit trust.

Through A Young Child’s Eyes

Through A Young Child’s Eyes
Looking through a young child’s eyes
all creatures are aliens invading your space…
friendly and hostile aliens of every shape and size
like birds and dogs and fish and cats…
like spiders and snakes and flies and bats…
strange and puzzling aliens everywhere you look—
Yet the strangest of alien races
are giants with angry faces
trying to communicate
not to laugh and throw your food and plate!

God Met God On The Street

God Met God On The Street
God met God on the street today
and he paused for a moment to say
Hello—how are you this fine day?
and she replied Good! Oh, by the way
did you see the show God put on last night?
God, it was such an amazing sight!
I took out my telescope, thinking I might
see God amidst the bright starlight.
I saw It everywhere and then I knew
God as the essence of every atom too—
from supernova to morning dew—
from everything old to everything new.
I saw God dance as Northern Lights
through which God passed as satellites
watching the world from distant heights—
observing Itself in orbiting flights.
The sleeping ones don’t know It still
dreaming dreams of fight and kill
their other selves who also will
dream their many dreams until
they too wake up to God as ‘Life’.
Well, give my best to your kids and wife!

A Song of the Mystical Dawn

A Song of the Mystical Dawn
Awe thrilled my soul when I beheld
the Presence of Almighty God
enthroned within my humble heart.
Too much for words this union is,
yet I dare say that He is mine and I am His.
Nothing there is, or ever shall be,
can tear apart this Unity.
Content, I am, my Spirit free
to be His love eternally.
His bliss and peace descend on me
and I ascend in ecstasy.
You too can know His Presence here
when His mystical Sun in you appears
with the power of Love to cast out fears.

She Said to Him…

She Said to Him…
Come lie with me on the soft green moss
in the heat of this summer’s day
and I’ll give you delicious, impassioned kisses
to take your breath away.
Let Nature witness our wild love-sport
among the spruce and pines—
hunting rare ecstacies with our senses—
tracking each other’s pleasure signs.
Deep, desperate growls and surrendering moans
will guide us on our way,
bringing us stealthily toward the unity
of Love predator and prey.
