Our 2010 drive through the mountains meant another great jump into adventure for my daughter, Alissa, and I to make yet another new beginning- another fresh start in the process of creating and co-creating our lives. We had just enough money to get to Vancouver Island and rent an apartment for a month, none to return if I couldn’t find work, although this time at least, Alissa had secured a job for herself in Victoria before leaving Ontario. The first time we moved West together, neither of us had work, had no idea where we’d live, and shared quite limited funds. We left the familiar to jump into the unknown.

Art from photos my daughter took on our drive through the mountains in 2010 has been a slow process of changing them to create the ‘feel’ of our adventure. A sense of awe, excitement, mystery and a hint of potential danger. Anyone who has driven mountain roads would surely understand what I mean.
