Passing Through Canadian Landscapes 8

This is the eighth in a series of photos I took from the passenger side of a moving car. Canada is such a varied, spacious country in which these photos are just a glimpse. It is a country of rich resources that many nations undoubtedly envy. As well as cities, towns and villages, we have a vast, uninhabited, diverse landscape. It feels to me like a beautiful weaving of many cultures, religions, philosophies, businesses, industries, landscapes, and creative expressions. A unity allowing itself diversity.

Passing Through Canadian Landscapes 7

This is the seventh in a series of photos I was able to take from the passenger side of a moving car. I often had to crop the quick pics of my cellphone camera because of window glare and grime of travel. Actually, this is one of my pet peeves of all means of transportation where photos of scenery reveal dirty windows and spoiled souvenir memories, especially on holiday travels. It’s disappointing when Santa doesn’t fulfill your wishes but rreeaallyy disappointing when your travel pics have to be trashed. lol! 😳😂

By The Lake

By The Lake

I took a peaceful stroll by Lake Temiskaming shared by both Ontario and Quebec. I imagine the fish in it are bilingual, trilingual or multilingual. 😂 As for me, it’s English and the language of Poetry with a bit of schooling in French and Latin, both of which much is forgotten like all the languages of other human lives.

I find the language of Poetry with its metaphors and symbols most efficient for what the mind and heart wish to express.

Years ago, I tried available online translation features to translate some poems into several other languages. After discussing what was communicated with others having a knowledge of English and other languages, I realized that what I was attempting to convey ‘got lost in translation’. I see this as the challenge of ancient languages in particular. It makes one wonder and question.

Anyway, the only way we can truly understand what’s being communicated is to either experience whatever it is or to telepathically, empathically ‘tune in’ to the sender, the ‘feel’ of what is written or said. That too can be rather tricky as humans often have their own personal filters and meanings, intentions and even deceptions- being able to purposely confuse or manipulate with words.

Feelings deeply felt, Soul Feelings, are far more powerful than words. Emotions are also powerful like smooth or rough waves on a Lake. They can be agitated or calmed. Lakes have their moods too.
