With a bit of reflection, I’ve changed my poem Metaphor Medley with a few less words. Sometimes it’s a process of carving away material from wood rather than adding to a sculpture with more clay. My process of writing poetry from thoughts to scribbles on paper to keyed words on a device with or without images would be boring to watch, to say the least. However, I do thoroughly enjoy my own process and hope to edit all my poems written over decades well before I make my exit.
