Evolving Miracles

Baby shoes to adult shoes,

the same being changes forms.

The small acorn grows

into a tall oak tree.

Humans and others change forms

with an intelligence to adapt

to environments and conditions

so as to live and thrive.

Even in death, forms change

and their energy is not lost.

The Universe changes Itself,

creating and evolving miracles

from and to Life Itself.

Yet I Still Write

Yet I Still Write

Sitting on an old, mossy tree stump

I whimsically call The Poet’s Chair,

I wonder, Why do I write?

I throw and skip my words

across many a smooth page

like pebbles cast to dance

across a placid pond

then watch them swiftly fall

from sight, down, down

to where the lost and forgotten

things rest on the bottom.

I offer my words humbly

like hard-earned money shared

on a collection plate passed

among those with much more or less,

then watch it all disappear.

I give my words to comfort, express,

counsel, encourage, inspire…

knowing full well that silence

and the feeling of embrace

speak what words can’t touch.

In the highest joys felt,

words always fall short.

In the deepest of sorrows,

all words seem hollow.

In the most profound and sacred

experiences, all words are left behind.

My words are unskilled, unpolished,

inefficient, ineffective, yet still

I write and write and write.

Reaching In Reaching Out

Reaching In Reaching Out

We grow from Infancy

enlarging, expanding

our perceptions,

our experiences,

our knowing,

reaching in reaching out

of our Cradle, our Home,

our World, our Universe,

our great Unknown…

Once we seemed

the very Center

of all Creation

by One or More Beings,

Powerful Caring Giants

focused on nurturing,

providing for all

our Human Infant needs

or not…

Slowly we outgrew

our Cradle, our Home,

our World, our Universe

reaching in reaching out,

enlarging, expanding

our perceptions,

our experiences,

our knowing at last

we Live On The Edge…

Then we began to wonder,

Is this the only

Earth-like World

or are there Many?

Is this the only

Inhabitable World

for forms of Life

unlike our own,

different Evolutions,

perceptions, experiences

unlike our own?

Is this Universe

the only Evolving Creation

by a Divine Being-Beings,

a Divine Energy-Energies,

a Divine Force-Forces,

a Divine Process-Processes,

Quantum and Cosmic,

or not…

Is this the only

Universe of Galaxies

or are there Many,

Many Universes,

Multiverses Seen Unseen

with Many Big Bangs?

Is this the only

Conscious Universe,

the only Seen Unseen

Intelligent Creation

creating, evolving,

perceiving, experiencing,

knowing Itself

even through All That Is,

even through the Many

Infant Creators, us?

Are we all Part Of

a Conscious Multiverse

reaching in reaching out…
