Flowers For Children:

The Quiet Place

When angry people

make me mad

and stir up fears…

When hurtful people

make me sad

and cause me tears…

When harsh noises

feel so bad

and hurt my ears…

I find inside

the Still Place,

the Quiet Place

where I draw inside

and paint a Place

where I am Glad…

where I can be

Happy and Care Free…

a Place no one

can take from me…

a Holy Place

where I am safe…

I am in Peace

and Peace is in me…

I am in Love

and Love is in me…

I am in Joy

and Joy is in me…

I draw Peace

and Love and Joy

where they can be

as Life on Earth

was meant to be…

I carry that Place,

that Special Place

inside of me

and it carries me

through

the mad and sad

and angry World

everywhere I see…

Though I am just

a Little Child,

I know

that Place and Way

to Light-en up

my Day…
