How do you live with yourself?

How do you sleep at night?

Have you killed your own conscience,

your own sense of wrong and right?

You watch. You watch and do nothing

to ease another’s suffering.

You feed on guilt and shame

and say you’re not to blame.

You feast on lust and fear

pretending you don’t see and hear.

You darken your heart and mind

with thoughts and deeds to find

yourself enslaved to those demands

that kill the Love of Life.

You wash your dirty mind and hands

then crucify your Light, your Soul.
