Our Love

Our Love
Our love is a pyramid of secret mysteries
and cherished other-world treasures…
It’s a hidden cave of ancient scrolls and artifacts
awaiting the wisdom of a peaceful Day.
it’s an underground stream of water rising up
to fountain-kiss the welcoming air;
a rich vein of undiscovered gold beneath
searching prospectors’ feet;
a crystal prism transformed by sunlight
into a magic rainbow wand;
a sunken galleon-chest now wearing jewels
of diamonds, emeralds, sapphires, and pearls;
a painting, a poem, a song;
an old and beautiful cathedral; a humble temple
filled with praise and prayer;
a future spaceship with a mission
to explore other worlds beyond…
Our love is an advancing wave
upon a sea of universal love.

Let Me Introduce Myself

Let Me Introduce Myself
“Let me introduce myself'”… she said
to the smiling young stranger—
hand reaching to hand
across the ages.
In that brief moment of friendly contact
came an awakening awareness
of another time and place…
an antique land and a city of vibrant diversity…
a museum-university of ancient days…
delicious experiences of romance and humour…
then tragedy…
a brilliant, short life and a brutal death…
Is this an old friend? she wondered,
then let the past silently rebury itself
as she savoured the sunlit day.

Religions

Religions
Religions…Hypatia ponders…
are the blessing and bane of human existence—
mankind’s glory and curse—
vehicles for power and conquest—
justification for countless cruel injustices,
authoritarian tyrannies, and horrendous destructions…
Religions…Hypatia reflects…
are messengers of love—
humanity’s bright hope
announced by alien angels and saintly souls—
institutions destined to embody universal love or die
in the vast aeons to come…
With or without religions…Hypatia realizes…
God is forever present throughout the Universe.
And with or without Religions—
these great catalysts of love and fear—
Spirit and spirituality will never cease to be.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice
I do admire God’s Creation,
watching Insects with fascination.
In countless forms, they procreate
faster than their Extinction Rate.
Perhaps these Insects will outlast
Humans mind-chained to the Past.
Insects cannot question “Why?”
or imagine they can ‘justify’
sacrifice of self and others,
like Fathers and Mothers,
Sisters and Brothers,
(‘suicides’ and ‘slaughters’)
using their last breath
for The Cause of ‘glorious death’.
Insects don’t just ‘pay the price’
like human sacrifice,
knowing no fearful ‘sin’
or Happy Heaven ‘to win’
created to placate
‘lesser gods’ of war and racist hate,
of vengeance and needs,
hypocrisy and greed’s
slavery to old lies and laws,
with contradictions and character flaws.
Insects don’t tell far-fetched Tales
(oppress females to empower males—
just blame some Woman for it all,
(Eve’s ‘Temptation’, Adam’s ‘Fall’)
 fed to off-spring from their birth,
defining sense of self and worth,
a kind of living sacrifice
forever ‘paying’ the sinful ‘price’
of Fictions made in days gone by
dictating How to Live and Die.
Insects watch the horrors Humans create
crediting ‘God’ or blaming their Fate,
counting the costly ‘Death Toll rate’
as deadlier technologies proliferate
fueled by Old Feuds and Fears and Hate.
Is this a higher state of Evolution?
Looks more like Mankind’s Devolution!!!
“Death to those who don’t ‘Believe’! “—
Indifference to all those who grieve!—
a Bloody Sacrifice of Life
in a World of endless strife.
Perhaps Earth’s Insects will outlast
Humans buried in their past!

A Force For Good

A Force For Good
Fear shall not rule the nation of our heart,
nor Terror command the world in which we live.
If in loss and death we play our part,
then our precious lives we’ll gladly give…
No evil act can strike our Spirit down.
No terrorist or tyrant can kill our Soul.
Though blood be drawn from every city and town,
we’ll pay the price of Freedom’s heavy toll.
Above racist and religious hate, we must evolve,
united in our values of great worth—
a force for Good. Our determination and resolve
shall win its victory on our Earth.
Flowers shall grow from tears that fall
on the ground of our grief and pain.
For Freedom’s Love we’ll give our all,
knowing that we shall rise again.
